GAME 3 - STANLEY CUP FINALS

Ryan Smyth scored the winning goal with less than three minutes remaining to give Edmonton a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the NHL's championship series.

The Hurricanes lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 to be played at Edmonton's Rexall Place on Monday night.

Shawn Horcoff also had a goal for the Oilers while Rod Brind'Amour replied for Carolina.
