WE NEED A FRIEND!

Some of you know that I am reading "In The Company Of Jesus" by Bill Donahue.

In chapter 2 he talks about the fact that we need a grace-giving companion who will receive us in spite of ourselves. He quotes Henry Ward Beecher: "Every man should have a fair-sized cemetery in which to bury the faults of his friends." Then Donahue goes on to say: "In the moment Jesus takes us as his companions, he dons the overalls of a gravedigger, covering our shattered, sinful past with the soil of divine mercy."

How Big Is Your (My) Cemetery?

Something to think about......
