Spiritual Leadership
It is understood that many of the same principles of leadership are used in Spiritual Leadership as general leadership. However, Spiritual Leadership has definite distinguishing qualities that need to be understood and practiced if Spiritual Leaders are to be successful. Consider the following:
1. The Spiritual Leader's task is to move people from where they are to where God wants them to be. They must lead their people so that the people have adjusted their lives to God's will.
2. Spiritual Leaders depend on the Holy Spirit.
3. Spiritual Leaders are accountable to God.
4. Spiritual Leaders can influence all people, not just God's people. Although Spiritual Leaders will generally move God's people to achieve the purposes of God, God can use them to exercise significant godly influence upon unbelievers.
5. Spiritual Leaders Work From God's Agenda, Not Their Own.
In conclusion, Spiritual Leaders seek God's will, then position their people to pursue God's Plan.
