GAME 8 - ARGOS 20 TIGER CATS 2

A different offensive philosophy and approach paid off nicely Saturday night for Damon Allen and the Toronto Argonauts.

Allen completed 21-of-33 passes for 319 yards and a touchdown to lead Toronto to a 20-2 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before a frustrated Ivor Wynne Stadium gathering of 29,010.

Toronto accumulated 430 total yards a week after failing to pass midfield in a 31-7 loss to Montreal. That cost offensive co-ordinator Kent Austin his job as GM Adam Rita came to help head coach Mike (Pinball) Clemons and receivers coach Paul LaPolice fix the unit.
