GAME 12 - ARGOS 11 TIGER CATS 9

The Argos fans began the game celebrating Damon Allen's arm, and finished it cheering Noel Prefontaine's leg.

The placekicker made a 47-yard field goal with just 34 seconds left in the game to lead the Argonauts to an ugly 11-9 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

That gives Toronto its fifth straight win, and more importantly, a share of the lead with Montreal in the CFL East.

Allen was honoured before the game for breaking the all-time pro football passing record.

He didn't look like a record-holder when play started, going 18-for-35 for 189 yards.

But the Argos' defence was up to the task, holding the Ticats without a touchdown for the second straight game.

Toronto routed Hamilton 40-6 in their previous meeting on Labour Day.

Ticats quarterback Jason Maas had just 111 passing yards and also threw three interceptions.
